The quick cut: A demon goes on a journey to cancel all his deals and become human. Chaos ensues when his final deal requires an adventure to agree to cancellation.

A real review:

Eternal life with transformation powers may sound like paradise, but is it really? What do you trade for that type of ability? For the demon named Dami, it's a life they want that they're trying to get back.

Dami is a demonio who has only ever known this life. Traded to El Diablo only minutes after birth, he was raised to make deals and get souls. They have only ever wanted to be human and truly feel what life has to offer. They are given the opportunity to do so by cancelling all their deals within a year. They manage to cancel all but one with a boy named Silas. Silas is willing to cancel the deal if Dami will help him end the family curse trying to end his life. Will they both get a happy ending?

This book is a fun adventure featuring a nonbinary character named Dami. The way they are portrayed is amazing because they don't feel the need to justify their gender orientation. It feels realistic and not at all over the top like many stories can do. It's who they are.

Silas is doing what he can to end the pain of dying and coming back while ending the curse causing this cycle. His chemistry with Dami makes them an amazing pair to go on a journey with.

Marisol is the third main character, but I struggle to call her that. She feels extremely tacked on in order to push the story forward (and nothing else). If she was meant to be more than that, the author should've fleshed her out at more than the end.

A fun adventure with a duo that has great chemistry.

My rating: 3.75 out of 5
