We all want to have a life of our own with a true love at our side. What would you do though if achieving that meant leaving everything you know behind? For Tana, that is very much the case after meeting Wolfe.
Tana has known from birth what her life is going to look like. The daughter of her coven's leader, she's destined for an arranged marriage with the governor's son, Landon. In turn, their coven will be forever protected from the painful persecution of the past. She's always been happy to do so until she meets a boy named Wolfe and discovers the coven of the past still exists... and their magic isn't evil like she's been led to believe.
From the outside, this story is about two people falling in love when their world means for them to never be together. However, the story is so much deeper than that. At it's core, it's about learning to be true to who you are and the life you want to lead. It's the only way you'll find true happiness.
Tana is seen as a rebel who has spent her life in communion with the island she's lived on. Rather than sip high tea and enjoy parties, she prefers swimming in the sea. So when she meets a boy who reveals that her lifestyle mirrors their own and one she's been told is wrong, it completely flips her world upside down. Everything she knows is a lie and all she can do is figure out what's right, what wrong, and where that leaves her.
Wolfe isn't perfect. In fact, he does something awful. However, the way he connects with Tana is rare and his intentions are for what's right. Seeing how he brings out the truest version of Tana makes you want to see them together.
An enrapturing romance from start to finish.
