The quick cut: A young woman finds her memories gone as her new husband, the prince, tries to off his only competition for her love.

A real review:

Love is something we all desire, but what would you do to find it? Would you be willing to sacrifice everything to have it? It may come to that for Apollo to keep his love, Evangeline.

Evangeline came to the North to find her happy ending and she's seemingly got it being married to Prince Apollo. If that's the case, then why can't she remember anything before today? It's a nagging feeling that keeps her asking questions that Apollo refuses to answer. Can she find out what really happened?

The story takes a slow start in this final book of the trilogy, but it's well worth it for the ending. Once the action takes off, it really does keep going until the book ends. It comes with a few fun surprises too!

Apollo certainly takes a hard core evil turn in this book. Now that he has Evangeline, he's doing a lot of terrible things to keep his love by his side. If it's true love though, then why does it come with such a cost? His storyline ends in perfect fashion, especially as it subtly says that your true intentions reveal what you really love most.

Jacks' narrations are woefully low in this book, but the focus was mostly on Apollo and Evangeline. That being said, I still wished more chapters were given from his perspective. He also felt irrational in some of his decisions, but I guess I should chalk that up to emotions clouding his choices.

Evangeline has come a long way since arriving in the North and you'd think losing her memories would reset that progress. Instead, it showed that true change can't be erased and when someone wants to find the truth, they'll move heaven and Earth to get it. She goes a LONG way to find what she's lost and I rooted for her at every step.

A fitting ending for a well written trilogy on Love.

My rating: 4.5 out of 5
